The National Film Board and Quickdraw Animation Society are excited to offer the 2013 NFB/QAS Production Scholarship!
This scholarship is intended to assist individuals in making their first independent animated film. The scholarship is a non-cash award open to all artists and emerging animators interested in the art of animation (no previous animation experience necessary). Projects using all animation techniques will be considered, including (but not limited to) hand-drawn, stop motion, collage, film, mixed media, digital, ToonBoom, TVP, Photoshop, and After Effect. A peer jury of animators will review all applications.
A one-year-long scholarship will be awarded to two successful applicants, giving prospective animators the knowledge, tools, supplies, studio space, equipment and mentorship to make their first independent animation. Scholarships run September 1, 2013 to June 1, 2014.
