All Lockdown participants MUST be a current QAS Producing Member. We ask you renew your membership if it is expiring in the next 3 months. New folks can sign up as a new Producing Member. Existing members can renew their membership. Associate-level members from our classes, workshops, and general membership can upgrade to Producing for an extra $25. Please be honest, we will check your membership status, and reach out to you if you need to renew or upgrade. If you are unsure, please contact us and we can check.

Lockdown Registration Sign-up Fees (choose yer tier)*

TIER 2: Bring Your Own Gear, need QAS software (+$30)
TIER 3A DIGITAL: Need QAS gear, need QAS software (+$55)
TIER 3B ANALOG: Need QAS gear, no QAS software (+$55)

Choose ONE tier. Pricing is based on if you are using all your own gear and software, or if you need resources from QAS. This will be added to your membership renewal/purchase and food add-on, if applicable. TIER 3A DIGITAL: USE QAS GEAR, USE QAS SOFTWARE: $105 (*plus a $100 refundable equipment deposit) *Please refer to the QAS Equipment and Production Supplies listing when registering. (This is if you need a computer, Drawing Tablet, Tablet pen, Webcam, from QAS AND need software. OR if you have your own software, but need QAS computer.) Must request specific gear when registering TIER 3B ANALOG: USE QAS GEAR, USE QAS SOFTWARE: (*plus a $100 refundable equipment deposit) Refundable equipment deposit: $100 – This will be returned to you once the equipment is returned in functioning order. *Please refer to the QAS Equipment and Production Supplies listing when registering. What do you imagine your animation will look like? Do you have a synopsis or a working title you can provide us with? Tell us here! This can be a loose idea, and can change before or during the event, but it helps us understand what you're hoping to accomplish over the Lockdown.

What technique will you use?*

Briefly describe your technical approach - digital 2D? 3D CGI? Traditional hand-drawn on paper? Stop-motion? Claymation? Cut-out? Scratch-on-film? etc.

What Quickdraw gear and/or software would you like to use, if any?*

Do you need a QAS computer? A camera? A downshooter? A drawing tablet? Light table? Do you need a Toon Boom license? Please be as clear and thorough as possible. We will try to get everyone the resources they need, and we will reach out to discuss what is available.

List any equipment and/or software that you'll be providing yourself (ex. your own computer, tablet, camera, your own light table, etc).

If you are using your own gear and software, please describe what you're planning to use. This helps us anticipate how to support your project if you need assistance. I consent to my image and work being captured as part of the event and used for QAS promotional purposes and archives.
I agree to allow QAS to upload my Animation Lockdown 2021 film to our Vimeo page for public viewing. (You are not obligated to let us upload your video, but it's a nice way to show them off online, and makes it easier for QAS staff to send around for screening opportunities.)

While you will retain 100% copyright to your finished Animation Lockdown film, by agreeing to participate in the Animation Lockdown you agree to allow Quickdraw to screen your film online as part of the 2021 Animation Lockdown screening in June 2021. You agree that QAS may submit and present your film at their discretion for screening opportunities in Calgary, nationally, and internationally, and use clips of your film for promotional purposes. Your animation will be included on a BluRay of Lockdown 2021 films with copies made for archival purposes. The film will also be available in the Quickdraw Library. Any artist fees resulting from screenings of your film will be given directly to the artist(s). I also agree to follow all QAS Policies, Bylaws, and procedures during the event. You can optionally let us host your film online for the world to see after the event.
