We’re looking for someone(s) to help us with the animation of a 5-minute short film called CHEAT DAY. Cheat Day is about a husband on a diet struggling not to give into his chocolate cravings before cheat day.
We will be applying for grants to fund this project. The grants we’re currently looking at applying for are currently Alberta/Calgary based so it would be ideal to have some living in Alberta to make the grant happen.
The style of the animation we’re looking for is flexible depending on the style of the person’s interest and talents. And, if only part of the project interests you, say the pre-production part, that’s okay too. The more local artists we can support the better.
Deliverables (to be negotiated) and can be split between 2-5 people if needed.
Pre-production: Character designs, set designs, storyboards, sound effects, music, and Lika reel (video with story boards and music/sound Fx timed out for production).
Production: Animation, colour, title, and credits, compilation of sound and animation.
Timeline: 6-12 months once grant is received.
Compensation: Rates to be discussed; based on workload and experience. Mentorship opportunity by award-winning Canadian animator.
