Quickdraw Animation Society will be participating Nationally with the Animation Lockdown for 2021. Details below:
At present, 10 of 13 provinces and territories and a multitude of arts organizations and groups are set to align their time-based challenge for the Summer of 2021.
Don’t worry! This partnership won’t change the legacy of QAS’ own Lockdown.
We are happy to say that the participating organizations are respectful of the fact that animation takes longer to create than live-action, so, the 2021 Animation Lockdown will be held online for 6 days (48 x 3) – May 20th through May 25 2021.
Two shorts from each participating area will be selected for an in-person screening in Spring 2022 at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto.

We are planning an INFO Session in the Spring where we will be announcing this year’s theme! So for now get your animation teams (or solo. solo is fine) and get ready to shelter in place, animation lockdown style.
